All human beings depend on the environment in which we live. A safe, clean, healthy and sustainable environment is integral to the full enjoyment of a wide range of human rights, including the rights to life, health, food, water and sanitation. Without a healthy environment, we are unable to fulfil our aspirations.
Environmental rights are an extension of the basic human rights that mankind requires and deserves.In addition to having the right to food, clean water, suitable shelter, and education.When environmental rights are violated, people and the planet suffer from reduced health and well-being.
Humans are responsible for taking care of the environment. Protecting the environment would be an act of fulfilling their compulsions. It is more of a moral obligation for humans to protect the environment from pollution and other activities that lead to environmental degradation.
Reason for protect environment :

Protecting the environment protects humanity,
Biodiversity is a significant part of life in the world,
Forests provide raw materials for various consumer products,
Forests provide habitats for a variety of species,

Article 48A stipulates: The state strives to protect and improve the environment and secure the country's forests and wild animals. The Ministry of Environment was established in India in 1980 to ensure a healthy environment in the country. Later, this became the Ministry of Environment and Forests in 1985.
The 5 environmental laws in India are: Water (Prevention And Control Of Pollution) Cess Act, 1974. Air (Prevention And Control Of Pollution) Act, 1977. Forest Conservation Act, 1980. Environmental Protection Act, 1986.
We all know what role the environment plays in the survival of the human species. It is our duty to protect that environment. We can make the environment pollution free. If the environment is polluted our life will also be affected. PHRC work to protect the environment and reduce pollution across India.
